In order to get back the viewers of all classes, Impress Telefilm Ltd, once again has come forward to promote quality films. Wrong Number by Matin Rahman is one which is made under the banner of this media house. The premiere of the film was held at the Balaka Cinema Hall yesterday.
A number of artists, show business personalities and invited guests were present on the occasion. The film will be released on Eid ul Azha at Balaka and aired on Channel-I as well.
Director of the film, Matin, said, ï¿½I would like to draw attention of the young people of all classes through the film Wrong Number. Young viewers all over the world are able to see good films; whereas our children are deprived of the privilege. I will feel I have succeeded in my humble attempt to reach them if my film is well received by them.
Among the guests who spoke on the occasion were Faridur Reza Sagar, Managing Director of Impres Telefilm Ltd, Chashi Nazrul Islam, renowned film director, Pranab Bhatta, playwright of the film, Sirajul Islam, Managing Director (In Charge) of the Bangladesh Film Development Corporation, Intekhab Mahmub, Head of Marketing of Citycell and others.
Ayub Bachhu, Imon Saha and Nachiketa were the music directors of the film while Kanak Chanpa, Asif, Pantha Kanai, Nachiketa, Ferdous Ara and Mehrin sang as playback singers.
The story is based on a romantic story, in which Othai, the heroine, loves to talk over the telephone and keeps calling unknown numbers. This is how she gets to meet the hero (on the phone) but they do not meet one other before the final act.
The different roles are played by Srabonti, Reaz, Abdul Quader, Dolly Zohar, Amal Bosh, Tushar, Amin Azad and others. For Srabonti, well known model and television artist, Wrong Number is her debut film.
