The much expected 123-minute film âThird Person Singular Numberâ was premiered on Thursday at Star Cineplex of Bashundhara city amidst an air of festivity.
Produced by Impress Telefilm and directed by Mustafa Sarwar Farooki, the film will be released at several cinema halls in Bangladesh today, including Star Cineplex, Balaka Cineworld, Abhisar and Shahin Hall in Dhaka; Sangeeta in Khulna and Utsab in Rajshahi.
The film will also be released at Aspes Hall in France on December 13. Besides, the film will be released at Hoyets Entertainment Hall of Sidney in Australia on December 19. Later, it will also be released in Canberra and Melbourne.
Based on one of Syed Manzurul Islamâs trendsetting novels âTin Parber Jibon O Kichhu Bastab Case Studyâ adapted by Anisul Huq, the film stars Nusrat Imroz Tisha as Ruba, Mosharraf Karim as Munna, Abul Hayat as Rahman and Rashed Uddin Ahmed Topu as Rubaâs friend. The rest of the cast includes Marjuk Russel, Lekha Haque, Esha, Aporna Ghosh, Rani Sharkar, Shahir Huda Rumi, Dikon Noor, DH Khan, Kamal Hossain Babor, Chabi and Tarek Mahmud.
The film is endowed with a number of songs vibrant with melodious tunes written and composed by Rezaul K Leemon, Habib, Prince Mahmud, Fuad al-Muktadir, Tahsan and Topu himself and sung by Sumon, Anila and Topu.
Prior to the premiere show, Impress Telefilm chairman Faridur Reza Sagar and Mustafa Sarwar Farooki talked about different aspects of the film. Tisha, Mosharraf Karim and Topu also addressed the audience.
